Anthony Olovitz has been haunted by typical wedding registries after he literally had to purchase the toilet brush from one (it was the only remaining item in his price range). Forever being the friend that bought the toilet brush he decided that wedding registries needed a bit of spicing up. He decided that they needed to be affordable for the guests whilst also having items that the guests would actually want to give. His wife Ronit took the idea further by pointing out that most modern couples get married in their late 20s and have already accumulated most of the traditional homewares. So why were wedding registries simply providing an offering of repeat objects? That’s when the idea of Adventure Wedding List arose. A bridal gift registry that could provide couples with the items that would enhance their time together, take them on journeys and be the stuff of memories. Being co-owning of the outdoor business Adventure Megastore, Anthony’s original idea offered camping, hiking and trekking gear to couples. This idea quickly grew into what Adventure Wedding List is today: providing the gear needed for couples to embark on any adventure. Be it ice-climbing, sea-kayaking, car camping or simply spending Saturday’s at the footy, all forms of active recreation are covered. Because its experiences that bond a couple not a TV.
